Inclined Planes are simple machines that help move loads from one level to another (up or down).

Inclined Planes can be shallow (moderate) or steep. It takes less time to move an object up a steep inclined plane, but it takes more effort to move the object up it. Shallow inclined planes are just the opposite (takes more time to go up it, but it takes effort to go up it).
